A child’s first visits to the dentist can shape how they feel about dental care and look after their teeth for years to come. When children only visit the dentist because something hurts, they may come to associate dental care with pain. But when they start early and visit regularly, they discover a welcoming place where people take their time, listen to them and explain dentistry in a playful, age-appropriate way – with personal attention, empathy and patience. Through tailored children's dental hygiene programmes, modern preventive care and early orthodontic guidance, we lay the foundation for long-term oral health and healthy development. We monitor tooth eruption, jaw growth and oral habits from an early age, intervening only when medically necessary.

EMPATHY
We get to know our young patients. Not just their teeth. With warmth, patience and a sense of humour, we create an environment where children feel comfortable and at ease. Some want everything explained in detail; others prefer to relax and watch their favourite show. We adapt to each child’s individual needs. A dedicated member of our team stays by your child’s side throughout treatment. And whenever they need a break, all it takes is a raised hand. Our aim is to make every visit a positive experience – one your child might even look forward to repeating.
TIME
Trust takes time. We make sure there’s enough of it. We deliberately allow extra time for children’s appointments. An initial comprehensive consultation typically lasts 60 minutes, giving us time to get acquainted, carry out a thorough examination and answer your questions. We also work at your child’s pace during more extensive treatments. If they need additional time to settle in or would benefit from several shorter appointments, we plan accordingly.
COMFORTABLE, LOW-STRESS TREATMENT
As gentle as possible. As much support as needed. Through carefully administered local anaesthesia and attentive, personalised care, we aim to make treatment as comfortable and pain-free as possible. In suitable cases, our individual approach even allows us to treat children without general anaesthesia when it had previously been recommended elsewhere. Where nitrous oxide, sedation or general anaesthesia is medically appropriate, we carefully assess the options and ensure treatment is carried out with the necessary safety measures in place.
DENTAL DEVELOPMENT & ONGOING MONITORING
Recognising today what may matter tomorrow. We look at baby teeth, the transition to permanent teeth, available space, bite alignment and jaw growth as part of the bigger picture. Intraoral photographs help us document findings and track changes over time.
This allows us to identify what requires treatment, what can safely be monitored and when orthodontic intervention may be beneficial. At Zaritzki Fine Dentistry diagnosis, planning and treatment are seamlessly coordinated. Early detection doesn’t mean early intervention. It means doing the right thing at the right time.
MODERN, MINIMALLY INVASIVE DENTISTRY
Preserve as much tooth as possible. Intervene as little as necessary. In suitable cases, early tooth decay can be stopped without drilling. When treatment is needed, we use minimally invasive techniques, high-quality filling materials and modern approaches designed to protect the dental pulp and preserve tooth vitality wherever possible. Preserving baby teeth is particularly important: they maintain space for permanent teeth and play a vital role in healthy dental development. Following dental injuries, we also prioritise restoring teeth while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible. Our goal is to keep natural teeth healthy and functional for as long as possible.

Healthy habits begin with understanding.
Children shouldn't just know that they need to brush their teeth. They should understand why – and learn how to do it properly. Our dental hygienists, experienced in caring for children, show young patients where plaque hides, how to brush effectively and what matters most in daily oral care. Through playful, engaging explanations tailored to each child's age and needs. Professional teeth cleaning, fluoride treatments, individual cavity risk assessments and fissure sealants where appropriate complete our preventive care programme. We also actively involve parents, offering practical advice on oral hygiene and nutrition that fits into everyday family life. Turning knowledge into healthy habits. For life.
Long before all permanent teeth have come through, tooth alignment, jaw development and bite relationships are already taking shape. Baby teeth preserve space for their permanent successors, while crowding, crossbites or problems with tooth eruption may begin to emerge. At Zaritzki Fine Dentistry, we monitor these developments through regular assessments, allowing us to identify potential concerns early and determine the most appropriate time for treatment. Orthodontic diagnostics, planning and treatment are fully integrated into our approach to dental care. Even in cases of severe crowding, we carefully explore treatment alternatives that may allow healthy permanent teeth to be preserved rather than extracted prematurely. Because early orthodontic care isn't about starting braces as soon as possible. It's about intervening when it makes medical sense.
